Business Continuity
When traditional PBX phone systems fail, your company loses money. Business Continuity works with your existing premise based PBX as a fully-redundant, always-on, virtual phone service that acts as failover in the event of a disaster. Depending on your type of phone service, it could be an automatic service that kicks in the moment your phone system fails and plays a recording for all callers:
“Thank you for calling. Our normal telecom provider is experiencing difficulty. Please hold for an operator.”
Then the service simultaneously calls a list of alternate phone numbers that you, the customer, provide (e.g. cell phones). Instead of callers getting dead air, busy signals, or out-of-service messages, their calls get answered and you can continue conducting business as usual until your regular phone system or phone service is brought back online.
